Community guidelines
Every member makes the Eelaf Promise before their profile goes for review. These guidelines are what that promise means in practice.
Be here to marry
Eelaf is for Muslims who are ready to marry. It is not a place to date, to pass the time, or to look for anything else.
Be honest
Your photos, your age, your marital status and your intentions must be true. Use recent photos of yourself only, and keep your profile up to date.
Be respectful in every message
Write to others as you would want your own family to be written to. Decline kindly, and accept a no with good grace.
Never ask for money or cause harm
Asking another member for money, attempting fraud, and threatening, encouraging or committing violence are not allowed, ever.
Keep what others share private
Do not copy, screenshot or share another member’s photos, details or messages outside Eelaf.
No explicit or inappropriate content
Photos and messages must be modest and appropriate. Content that is sexual, hateful or offensive is removed.
What happens if a guideline is broken
Depending on what happened, a message may be held, a profile may lose its reach, or an account may be paused or closed. Breaking the Eelaf Promise can close your account.
